Siok, Mary T. (Sweeney)

Mary T. Sweeney Siok , 95, of Rocky Hill went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 26, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born in Bronx, New York on April 25, 1926 to Carmelo and Marion Saccuzzo, later moving to Hartford, CT. She was predeceased by her husbands, Clifton Edward Sweeney and Chester J. Siok, her brother, Santo Saccuzzo, and her eldest son, Clifton Paul Sweeney. Mary is survived by her brothers, Ralph (Edith) Saccuzzo of Oregon, Joseph (Judie) Saccuzzo of Arizona, and Richard (Jean) Saccuzzo of Farmington, CT. She is survived by her sons, Mark (June) Sweeney of LaBelle, Florida, Dennis (Maureen) Sweeney of Wethersfield, CT, and David (Kristi) Sweeney of Enfield, CT., one daughter, Donna (William) Babbitt of Gales Ferry, CT. and one daughter-in-law, Diane M. Sweeney of Charlotte, North Carolina. Mary was also blessed with 14 grandchildren, 15 great- grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandsons (5 generations!). Mary was a communicant of St Elizabeth Seton Church in Rocky Hill, CT. and a member of the Carmelite Order through its Secular Branch, committed to prayer. Mary had also been a member of Corpus Christi Women's Club and The Garden Club of Wethersfield. Her passions included her family, gardening and flowers. She loved the Lord, reading the Bible, and praying for her family and others daily. Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.” (John 11:25) There will be a Calling Hour from 9:45am to 10:45am on Tuesday May 4th 2021 at Rose Hill Funeral Home 580 Elm St. Rocky Hill, CT. A mass of Christian burial will take place at 11am on Tuesday May 4th 2021 at St. Josephine Bakhita Parish at St Elizabeth Seton Church Rocky Hill, CT.
