Cafro, Linda R.Albrecht

Linda R. (Albrecht) Cafro, 67, of Storrs-Mansfield, CT, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at Hartford Hospital. Linda was born in Quebec, Canada on September 9, 1953. She became a US citizen on December 18, 1998, which remained a source of pride for her throughout her life. She was a graduate of George J. Penney High School, Class of 1971. After high school, she served three years in the US Army as a medical assistant during the Vietnam era and was honorably discharged in 1977. She returned to Connecticut and worked at United Technologies for many years and had various other work experiences over the years. Linda is survived by her three cats, Thelma, Louise, and Orbit, whom she loved dearly; her mother, Lilianne Nadile of Florida; a brother, Marc Albrecht and his wife Mary Ann of Glastonbury; and several devoted nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Glenn Albrecht; and a brother, Steven Albrecht. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses in the cardiac ICU at Hartford Hospital, especially, Rachel and Marina, for the exceptional care given to Linda. Linda will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Funeral services are private at the request of her family. Cremation Society of Connecticut has care of the arrangements.
