-

Ann Magnuson Case died Friday, May 7 at home, surrounded by family. She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Arnold Case and her parents, Philip and Phyllis Magnuson. She is survived by her brother, Philip, her daughters, Dr. Beth Case and husband Steven Dolmanisth; Amy Case Rosenfield and husband Michael; Sarah Case and partner Greg Odell; stepson Dr. Daniel Case and wife Patti, and grandchildren: Ally, Sophie, Lucy, Esther, Hanna, Rachel, Eliana, Jack, Carlin and Noel. Ann was born and raised in Chautauqua County, NY. She was a nurse and worked well into her 70's, first at a nursing home and then many years at Farmington Valley VNA. She loved art and traveled the world: to South America, Europe, Scandinavia, Russia and China. She was fiercely independent, an avid reader of historical fiction and murder mysteries, a great cook, and an amazing nana. She had an open heart and mind that grew more expansive as she aged. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed. Many thanks to her wonderful caregivers, Ivy Bonful and Barbara Blay, and Masonicare Hospice, for their compassion and excellence. Services will be at Congregation Beth Israel Cemetery in Avon, CT on Friday, May 14 at 1:30pm.
