Mark E. Christense­n, 64, husband of Mary D. (Duntz) Christense­n, died Wednesday, April 28th, 2021 in the comfort of his Avon home with his wife, family members, and his canine companion Oscar by his side. Born September 24, 1956, in Hartford, CT to his parents George E. Christense­n and Dorthy B. (LaBonte) Christense­n. Besides his wife, he is survived by his brother George E. Christense­n II, and his wife Anna. He leaves behind his four children, Moriah J. (Christense­n) Dowcett and her husband Colin Dowcett, Elias E. Christense­n and his wife Megan K. Christense­n, Ethan D. Christense­n and his wife Aria K. Christense­n, and Philia O. (Christense­n) Davis and her husband Brent M. Davis. Also, his grandchild­ren Hazel, Ruben, Taryn, Octavia, Sawyer, and soon the arrival of Baby Cian. Mark graduated from Avon High School in 1974. He was a postal clerk for the United States Postal Service in the Unionville/Burlington CT offices. Throughout his 27 year long career, you would otherwise find him tinkering in his garage and fixing cars. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, he was often known for his hard work helping at convention and assembly gatherings assisting wherever he could. You could always count on Mark for a silly face and his laugh will certainly be remembered. A private service for family and friends will be held at a later date.
