Katherine Louise (Riedell) Levinson, 84, of Farmington, died May 6, 2021, at the University of Connecticu­t Health Center in Farmington. She was the beloved wife of the late Rev. Norman A. Levinson.

Born in Hyannis, MA, on Dec. 24, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Ethel (Parker) Riedell of Osterville, MA. She grew up in Osterville and graduated from Barnstable High School, marrying Norman, her childhood sweetheart, in 1955. They were married for 52 years.

They lived in various towns in Massachuse­tts and in Corona, CA, before arriving in Newington, where Norman was the senior pastor of the Church of Christ, Congregati­onal and she was the manager of a tuxedo shop, Fancy Formals. They retired to Haines City, FL. In her later years, Katherine lived in Cotuit, MA, with her sister, Gretchen Perry, and then with her granddaugh­ter, Becky Kugler and her family, in East Setauket and Cobleskill, NY, before moving to Middlewood­s of Farmington this year.

Besides her husband and parents, she was predecease­d by a daughter, Kathy Post. She leaves two sons, Thor Levinson and his wife, Linda, of Newington; Gregg Levinson and his wife, Kari, of Cromwell, three sisters, Gretchen Perry, Charlotte Shane and Josephine Paolino; two brothers, Carl Riedell and his wife, Sharron, and Eric Riedell and his wife, Sharon; seven grandchild­ren, Becky Kugler, and her husband, Jon; Michelle Post; Sarah Levinson and her partner Nate Varricchio; Rosalie Levinson; Daniel Levinson; Sandra Levinson and Henry Levinson; and four great grandchild­ren, Charlotte, Liam and Hannah Kugler; and Olivia Varricchio.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 22, 2021, at West Meadow Cemetery in Newington. Those interested in viewing the service remotely may contact Linda Levinson at lindalevin­son86@gmail.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research or Toys for Tots.
