Pinney, Mary C.
Mary C Pinney, 93, of Chester CT, passed away Saturday, May 8th, 2021 at Chesterfields Health Care Center in Chester, CT. She was born November 5, 1927 and the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Payne) Caldwell.
Mary worked for the Travelers Insurance Company in Hartford CT after high school where she met her husband, Eugene F Pinney. They married, had 5 children, and were active in the Catholic Church. She worked for many years at the Madison Coin store in Madison CT, then at Gladeview Nursing home in Old Saybrook, CT. She was actively involved in her children's sports and school events and enjoyed crafts, sewing and gardening. Mary was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. Mary will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by two children; Frederick E Pinney and his wife Gina R Pinney of Piney Flats TN and Nancy J Pinney of Chester CT, four brothers and their wives; Robert and Norma Caldwell, Raymond Caldwell of Tolland CT, Arthur and Cynthia Caldwell of Ellington, James and Maxine Caldwell of Ruskin FL, and one sister; Barbara Bossie of Tolland CT and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is pre-deceased by her husband Eugene F Pinney, three children; Linda A Pinney, Steven J Pinney and Jane S Denino, two brothers; William Caldwell and George Caldwell and his wife Dorothy Caldwell, two sisters; Elizabeth Norris and her husband James Norris, Daisy Caldwell and a brother in Law; Gerald Bossie.
Funeral services will be at Swan Funeral Home, 1224 Boston Post Rd, Old Saybrook, CT:
