Douglas A. DeBaise, 62 of Portland passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at his home in Portland with his wife by his side. Born in Meriden on December 26, 1958 he is the son of Virginia (Preisner) DeBaise and the late Anthony L. DeBaise. Doug is predecease­d by his maternal and paternal grandparen­ts, Andrew and Josephine (Farieri) DeBaise and Frank and Louise (Alteri) Preisner. . He married the love of his life, Rosemarie (Frink) DeBaise only 6 short years ago and became an instant step-father to Ashley and Kyle Frink. Doug enjoyed being the mechanic for John Viola at Viola Lawn Services & Landscapin­g in Cromwell. Doug was a simple man that loved God, his mother, wife, Harley Davidson motorcycle­s, sports cars, Ford trucks, Nascar racing and gardening. He loved spending his time at his home on Jobs Pond with his wife, Rosemarie and his family and friends, including his cousin Andrew Little, and his two dogs Ollie and Rocky. Doug had a special place in his heart for his niece and goddaughte­r, Danielle (Pritt) Oliveria and her husband Jonny Oliveria whom he had the privilege to see walk down the aisle a few short weeks ago. He also had a special place in his heart for his nephews, Jacob R. Pritt, godson - Salvatore A. DelGreco and Christophe­r A. DelGreco and his wife Heather and Dylan DelGreco. Besides his wife, Rosemarie and mother, Virginia, he is survived by his step-children, Ashley and Kyle Frink, sisters and brothers-in-law, Denise M. DeBaise-Lavoie and her husband, Ronald, Diane M. DeBaise-Godin and her husband Wade, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Christine Windish, Jr., his sister-in-law, Donna Windish, MD and her husband Joseph Amenta and nephew, Joseph Amenta III and many cousins. His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingfor­d Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Tuesday, June 22nd from 5-7pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 7pm.
