Dennis P. DiMugno, 66, died peacefully with his family by his side at his home in Sarasota, Florida, on June 10, 2021. He was born in New Britain, Connecticu­t, to Margaret and Victor DiMugno, in 1955. He graduated from Central Connecticu­t State University with a degree in business and married the love of his life, Debbie Pluta, in 1978. They had two children, Laura and Daniel.

Dennis worked in insurance for more than 40 years, building five thriving offices for his company, Frontier Adjusters, and becoming the first owner of an appraisal franchise in the company's history. The DiMugnos lived in South Windsor, Connecticu­t, for 30 years, and later split their time between New Hampshire and Florida. Dennis' family will remember him as a hardworkin­g, dedicated and supportive man with a passion for the outdoors and emerging technology, especially electric vehicles. In addition to being an avid pickleball and tennis player, he enjoyed other active pursuits — including hiking, kayaking, biking, playing Frisbee golf and

visiting National Parks — and rooting for the New York Yankees and Giants. He is survived by his wife, Debbie;

daughter, Laura Mondragon, and her husband, Diego; son, Daniel DiMugno, and his partner, Andrew Wu; sister, Paula Sutak, and her husband, Tom; grandson, Alex; sister-in-law, Marge Paolino, and her husband, Rocco; two nephews, Rocco and Christophe­r Paolino; and two nieces, Sandra Marquez and Laura Carvajal. He was predecease­d by his mother and father, Margaret

and Victor DiMugno. Private services will be held for the immediate family.
