Yvette (Ayotte) Garvey, 97, passed away peacefully June 16, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer with her family by her side. She was born April 15, 1924 in Hamlin, Maine. She was the daughter of Patrick Ayotte and Phoebe (Martin) Ayotte. She grew up in Van Buren, ME She worked for Arthur Watson Insurance Agency for many years. Yvette enjoyed knitting and crocheting hats for the preemie babies born at Hartford Hospital, making hats and scarves for the Wethersfie­ld Social Services Christmas tree, making prayer shawls for the sick and especially beautiful gifts for her family and friends. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family and the "church and coffee group". She attended daily Mass and went with the C&C group to Burger King after Mass. She was a religious educator for many years, a member of the Incarnatio­n Women's Club, beloved church choir member and bell ringer, Prayer Shawls Group and the Women's Club Honor Guard.

Yvette is survived by her three daughters. Mary Ellen Zenzie and her husband Brian of Newington, Cindy Procaccini of Wethersfie­ld, Kate Adams and her husband Gary of Checotah, OK. She also leaves her brother and best friend Eugene P. Ayotte of East Hartford and her sister Patricia Dumont of Wethersfie­ld. She leaves life's most precious gifts, her grandchild­ren Danielle Procaccini and her wife Beth, Michael Procaccini, Kevin Procaccini, Erin Rouquie and her husband Nick, Lauren Rovella and her husband Marc, Robert Adams and his wife Katie. She also leaves her great grandchild­ren Ethan, Skyla, Briella, Preston and Caden. She leaves several nieces and nephews. We especially want to thank her church and coffee group ladies who called her every day. That meant the world to her more than you know. Thank you, Lucy, Linette, Jean, Fran, Jan, Mary, Flo, Fern, Eleanor, Carol and Dolores. We also would like to thank Dr. Karanam for not giving up on her, all the nurses who cared and especially Patrick Richardson, APRN, from St. Francis palliative care who helped her and us on her final journey. She was predecease­d by her infant son, son-in-law Mark Procaccini, brothers, Claude, Gilman and Joel and sisters Carmen, Mariette and Juliette.

Friends and family may visit Yvette's family from 4-7 pm Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd. Wethersfie­ld, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 10:30am in the Church of the Incarnatio­n, 544 Prospect Street, Wethersfie­ld, CT.
