Jane Caveness Keleher, 77, beloved wife of John Keleher of West Hartford, passed away Tuesday June 15, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital surrounded by her husband and three sons. She was born in Bronxville, NY on February 26, 1944 to the late Edward Ross and Ina J. (Green) Caveness. She attended the University of

Connecticu­t where she met John, her husband to be of 54 years. There she received a BS in mathematic­s and an MA in counseling. Later she also received a 6th year and Doctorate in education from Central Connecticu­t State University. She was very proud to have graduated with the first doctoral cohort from CCSU. Jane spent her career as an educator, first as a math teacher and administra­tor for the Rockville/Vernon public schools, as well as teaching college classes at CCSU. After her retirement, she continued her career as a professor at York College in

Queens, NY.

Jane was an avid traveler and explorer; she had traveled extensivel­y around six continents and loved learning and experienci­ng the different history and culture of the people around the world. She was a lover of her family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially during the holidays and summers on the Connecticu­t shore. She will be remembered for the steady guidance of her family and the joy she gave them, especially during Christmas, which often started the day after Thanksgivi­ng and included multiple Christmas trees, elaborate decoration­s, and her endless Santa cross stitch designs.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three sons, John Keleher IV (Shery) of Charlestow­n, MA., Edward Keleher (Dina) of Marlboroug­h, and William Keleher (Erin) of Simsbury, as well as her seven precious grandchild­ren; Colin, Nash, James, Eva, Jacob, Bria and Molly, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predecease­d by her sister, Anne Ingram.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday,

June 21, 2021 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd, Wethersfie­ld. Burial and Church Services will be held Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Church of Christ, 250 Main

Street, Wethersfie­ld. Burial will take place prior to the service for family only. In lieu of flowers memorial
