Levesque, Marie Joyce (McIntyre)

Marie Joyce (McIntyre) Levesque, of Newington, CT, beloved wife for 59 years of Robert L. Levesque, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 14, 2021. Born in Bridgeport, CT on March 14, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Josephine (McGuire) McIntyre. Prior to her retirement, Marie was employed as a legal secretary for the State of Connecticut Attorney General's Office. Marie enjoyed reading, history, flower arranging and was an enthusiastic Red Sox fan. An avid gardener, she was a past member of the Cedar Mountain Garden Club in Newington. She was a longtime parishioner of the Church of the Holy Spirit. Marie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family. She will be forever missed by her son, Mark Levesque and wife Judy Handler of Vernon, CT; daughter Kerry Arsenault and husband Tony of South Glastonbury, CT; four grandchildren, Steven Levesque of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Eric Levesque of Ellington, CT, Shannon and Amanda Arsenault of South Glastonbury, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Marie's life will be held on Monday, June 21, 2021 at 10:00am at the Church of Holy Spirit, 183 Church St. Newington, CT 06111. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marie's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
