Joshua Van passed away on June 17, 2021 at Advent Health Hospital in Ocala Florida surrounded by family. He was just 41.

Born in Simsbury, CT to Richard Van and Kathleen Garrity Van. Josh attended Simsbury High School where he played varsity soccer for four years, his last as captain, and was All State and All New England. He accepted a scholarshi­p to Marist College, where he co-captained the soccer team for three years and graduated with a business degree. Josh worked in the constructi­on business for several years until he relocated and became a well-respected constructi­on supervisor in the Dallas metro area. Josh's greatest joy and biggest loves were his two children. He cherished all of the friendship­s and the memories he made throughout his life.

Along with his children, Josh's passions were soccer, the Philadelph­ia Eagles, the Dallas Stars, country music and his many friends. He loved golf, dogs, barbeque sauce, sharing stories, and laughing.

Josh leaves behind his beloved children, Elle and Decker Van, his mother, Kathleen Van, his father and stepmother, Richard and Pamela Van, his sister, Heather Dayner, his stepsister­s, Cristina and Stefanie Swift, his niece Schuyler Dayner and many loving uncles and aunts and cousins.

No parents could have asked for a better son. Josh will be missed by many, will always be loved, and never forgotten.

There will be a celebratio­n of life at a later date.
