Wise, William F.

William F. Wise, 71, of West Hartford, passed away June 16 at Hartford Hospital after a short illness. Bill was born on January 4, 1950 in Hartford, CT., son of the late Morris L. Wise and Hannah (Podnetsky) Wise. Bill lived most of his life in West Hartford. He attended King Philip Elementary School and Conard High School. His college courses were taken at University of Hartford and Greater Hartford Community College.

Bill leaves behind brother Thomas, sister-in-law Susan, niece Julie, and nephew David, all of Waterbury. He also leaves behind many cousins, both local and out-ofstate. We would especially like to thank Dan and Arlene Neiditz and Ellie Caplan for their continuous support of Bill for many years. We would also like to thank Arlene Bromberg for her constant comfort, compassion, and support during Bill's illness. Bill considered his cousin Arlene like a sister to him.

Bill also leaves many good friends. Of special note are longtime friends David Shapiro, Todd Barry, Pam Macabee, and his housekeeper Thelma Broughton. Bill also had many other friends through his support groups. Cienna was the last of many cats that shared Bill's apartment with him. A longtime passion of Bill's was astronomy. He spent many evenings viewing the stars and planets through his telescope. He always considered himself an amateur astronomer. Other interests of Bill's were discussing politics and listening to the music of the 60s.

Funeral and service will be held at Beth Israel Cemetery in Hartford on Tuesday, June 22 at 1PM. Donations in Bill's memory can be made by choice of donor.
