Collins, Margaret F.

Margaret F. Collins, West Hartford (1940-2021) daughter of the late Richard and Monica (O'Brien) Collins passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 after a short illness. Margaret was born in Hartford, Connecticut. She attended the Cathedral of St. Joseph, Mount St. Joseph Academy and St. Joseph's College. After graduation she worked at St. Francis Hospital as a Social Worker. She later became the Director of Personnel at Trinity College before retiring in 1996 as the Special Assistant to the Director of Human Resources. Margaret enjoyed spending time with her large group of friends, keeping in touch with classmates from grammar school until the end of her life. She liked to travel and counted trips to Bermuda, Ireland and Alaska as some of the places she visited.

Margaret will be missed by many and in particular by her sister Rosemary Johnson of West Hartford, CT, her

niece Elizabeth Johnson of Newington, CT, her nephew Douglas Johnson of Goodson, MO, and her niece Marjorie Bazzano of Farmington, CT. Additionally, Margaret was especially proud of and loved spending time with her grandnieces Emily Bazzano of Austin, TX, Kara Bazzano of Charlotte, NC, and Allison Bazzano of West Hartford, CT as well as her grandnephew Griffin Johnson of Madison, WI.

A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, (July 27) at St. Peter Claver Church, 47 Pleasant Street

West Hartford at 11am. Burial will be private.
