Eunice Arline (Lietz) Chall, 90, passed away at home on July 19, 2021 with her family by her side. She was the youngest daughter of Edward J. Lietz and Grace H. (Dimmock) Lietz, born 9/30/30. Eunice was the loving and dedicated wife of Robert Irving Chall who predeceased her in 2003 after 52 years of marriage.

Eunice is survived by: her daughter Sandra (Sandy) McCann and her husband Daniel, her daughter Deborah (Debi) Chall, all of Enfield, CT. Also surviving her are Grandchildren Jennifer Wilcox and husband Steven of Enfield, Kelly McCann and husband Rosaldo of Lomita,

CA, Derek Schnaars of Enfield, Phil Schnaars of East Windsor, and Rebecca Schnaars also of Enfield. She also adored and is survived by her Great Grandchildren: Molly, Anna, Catherine, Amelia, Emma, Nora, Max, Lilly, and Parker. Eunice was known as 'Eunie' to her friends and 'Gramma Patty-cake' by the great grandchildren she often played the Pat-a-Cake rhyme with. She was also an aunt to several nieces and nephews.

Eunice was predeceased by her many siblings: Edward Lietz, Grace L'Heureaux, Hazel Dacko, Ruth Bentley, Doris Kopinto, Kenneth Lietz, Alan Lietz and babies Shirley and Patrick Lietz

Although her life was tough at times, Eunice never complained. She was a stellar example of a loving and hard-working daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Due to tough economic times, she was requested to quit school and help her family meet ends when in the 10th grade. At 19 she married the love of her life Robert Chall and soon after moved to Alabama to support him while he was stationed there in the army. After returning to Connecticut

and her daughters reaching school age, Eunice worked hard to obtain her driver's license and get back into the workforce. She went on to get her GED degree and then a two-year college degree because she loved to learn. Eunice worked for the Connecticut Air National Guard in Windsor Locks as a civilian clerk for 40 years before retiring and also worked part time for Casual Corner Group in Enfield.

Eunice supported others her whole life whether it be helping her children's friends, children in the orphanage, opening her home to family or taking care of siblings from time to time .... that list goes on. She always put others first. Eunice did a great deal of cooking and baking which she loved, often making full home cooked meals for her family even recently.

For relaxation and enjoyment, Eunice and her late husband spent time bird watching at local sanctuaries

and she continued feeding the birds in her yard up to the end. Vacations were mostly for family time but she also loved to enjoy nature for some. Although she did not travel much, Eunice enjoyed a few visits to scenic places like Lake George, Niagara Falls, Cape Cod, and Ogunquit Maine over the years.

At her request there will be no calling hours and only a Memorial Service for family will take place. Eunice will be at peace alongside her late husband at the Hazardville Cemetery in Enfield, CT.

Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718 Oklahoma City, OK

73123-1718.
