Buckley, Frances A. (Juniewicz)

Frances Ann (Juniewicz) Buckley, 88, of Somers CT, wife of the late Howard E Buckley, passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at her residence. The daughter of the late Chester and Katarzyna (Ludwin) Juniewicz, Frances was born and raised in Enfield CT and was a graduate of Enfield High School, Class of 1950. The mother of five sons, she raised her family in Somers and resided there for 58 years. Frances' adult life revolved around raising her five sons and later focusing on her grandchildren. She was a retired State of Connecticut employee most recently working in the Department of Corrections (Enfield) and Transportation (Bradley Airport). She was a founding member of The Lutheran

Church of Our Redeemer where she took on leadership roles.

Frances is survived by four sons, David A. Buckley of Somers CT, Brian K. Buckley (Eileen) of Hampton NH, Karl L. Buckley (Ellen) of Middlebury CT and Ralph H. Buckley (Candy) of Haverhill, MA.; her sister, Jenny Hryniewicz of Windsor Locks CT; five grandchildren, Katherine (Segundo), Colin, Lauren, Kelsey, and Jillian; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Frances was predeceased by her son James E. Buckley, her sister, Helen Hryniewicz, and two brothers, Walter and Bruno Juniewicz. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday July 30th, at The Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, 20 North Maple Street, Enfield, CT 06083. Per her request, there will be no calling hours.
