After graduating from Conard High school, he went to Franklin Pierce College, NH, and then joined the United States Navy. There, he was trained as a surgical technician and remained one ever since. He enjoyed living in the western U.S. and worked in Cheyenne, Wyoming; Salt Lake City, Utah; Elko, Nevada; and Healdsburg, California. The last few years found him closer to home, working at hospitals in Willimanti­c and Manchester, Connecticu­t.

Tony's great love was traveling and camping across the United States - always self-sufficient. He was adventurou­s and rode his bicycle from California to Massachuse­tts, and from Seattle to San Francisco. He also was an avid amateur photograph­er and left behind a legacy of beautiful photograph­s of the natural world.

Despite a long battle with cancer, Tony took one last trip across the country, visiting family and friends before he passed away peacefully at the West Haven Veterans Hospital.

Tony was loved by many and will be missed. He is survived by his brothers, John Wilson Walker III and Mathew Jones Walker. He is predecease­d by his mother, Constance Williams Walker and his father, John Wilson
