DOROTHY (LEE) MCGHEE, JACKSON (95) departed this life on Saturday, July 3, 2021 in the comfort of her daughter's home surrounded by loved ones in Jacksonville, FL. She was

originally from Bloomfield, CT. Dorothy was born on August 29, 1925 in Hartford, CT to the late Alice (Hansborough) Lee and Wesley Lee of Cuthbert, GA. She was predeceased by ten siblings and is survived by one sibling, Rose Wallace of Bloomfield, CT. She is survived by

seven children, twelve grand children and a host of great grand children and great great grand children. The children are: Brenton McGhee of Plainville, CT; Deborah (McGhee) Thomas of Becket, MA; Diane (Lolly McGhee) Waller of San Antonio, FL; Elisa (Holly McGhee) Leveton of Jacksonville, FL; Ingrid (McGhie) Moye of Westlake Village, CA; Michael McGhee of Oxnard, CA and Jennifer Jackson Daniel of Jacksonville, FL.

Dorothy was a loving Mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, aunt and sister.

She was a very strong and cherished matriarch. Family was the most important thing to her, whether it was being involved with her children's school activities, church youth group or helping out in the community with Meals on Wheels, working as a transporter for the disabled or working in the public school system.

She was a long standing 70+ year member of Central Baptist Church in Hartford, CT, where she served on many committees.
