Waite, Eva M.Bush

Eva M. (Bush) Waite entered eternal life on July 23, 2021. Born the eldest child to the late Bobby and Ella Mae Bush, she come into the world on November 18, 1925 in Springfield, GA. She eventually settled in CT where she met her soul mate – Crosby L. Waite. They married on December 29, 1947 and celebrated 59 years when Crosby (affectionally called Uncle Joe) passed away in 2007. Eva retired from Pratt and Whitney after many years of service. She also owned and ran a hair salon in Hartford for many years.

Together with her husband and daughter Joan, they were long time faithful members of Allen Chapel AME Church of Hartford serving on numerous boards, committees and ministries. Eva always had a ready smile and serving heart.

Eva is also predeceased by her daughter, Joan Waite; her son, Ulysses Harris; and her siblings, Otis Bush, Flossie Mae Wilder, and Bertha Bush. To cherish her memory she leaves her siblings' children and grandchildren, her in-laws, other relatives and a host of friends including her Allen Chapel AME family.

Special thanks to her primary caregivers who not only helped her live a good life but loved her dearly. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at 11:00AM at Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, 1 Cottage Grove Rd., Bloomfield, CT 06002. The family will host a memorial service at a later date.
