Our beloved Mom passed away on June 15, 2021. She was born in Hartford, at home, on August 1, 1932, to the late Michael and Anna Kaminski. Irene was a graduate of Hartford Public High School and enjoyed attending the 1950 class reunions throughout the years with her husband and good friends Charlie and Dolores Buzzell. Irene, also affectiona­tely known as Winnie, stayed home to raise her three girls until the youngest went to school. For many years she worked at Farmer Brown in East Hartford as a bookkeeper, and for a short time at Johnson Paint in Manchester. She was an avid reader, a great duckpin bowler (once winning the town duckpin tournament) and began golfing in her 60's. She enjoyed hiking and swimming, and spending time with her daughters and their families. Irene is survived by her three daughters Lynn MacMullen of Manchester, with whom she lived, Laurie (Tony) Johnson of Rock Hill, SC,

and Lea (Mike) Welsh of Simsbury. Seven grandchild­ren, Ryan (Lisa) Welsh, Karlie (Rachel) Welsh, Derek Johnson, Sean and Cailyn Welsh, Brett and Rachel Johnson. She

also leaves four great grandchild­ren, Evan, Hailey and Owen Welsh and Layla Johnson. She is also survived by her brother Richard Kaminski of West Simsbury and her sister Beverly Arndt of Simsbury, and many nieces and nephews. She was predecease­d by her husband William MacMullen, with whom she celebrated 64 years of marriage until his passing, and her sister Dolores Rotondo. A graveside service will be held at East Cemetery in Manchester, August 2, 2021 at 11am.
