Timothy J. McAdam, 71, of West Hartford, died Wednesday, August 11th at St. Francis Hospital. Son of the late Albert E. Sr. and Gloria M. (Garavalia) McAdam and brother of the late Albert E. McAdam, he lived in West Hartford most of his life. He was a graduate of Prince Tech High School and a veteran of the Army National Guard during the Vietnam era. Tim was also a great athlete and excelled in baseball from his time spent in Little League to the local softball leagues. He loved his muscle cars, motorcycle­s, loud music, and the many dogs he’s had over the years. He retired from the Town of West Hartford where he worked for almost 30 years, Tim spent his retirement taking care of his meticulous­ly manicured lawn, with a broad prideful display of flowers, ornamental trees and plants, solar lights, and chimes which he turned into his own little private oasis. He was also known as the neighborho­od “handyman” who could fix anything and was always generous with his time to help anyone in need. Tim is survived by his son Christophe­r McAdam and his wife Jennifer, his daughter Lauren McAdam, two grandchild­ren Aurora and Jackson who were very precious to him, as well as his very well-loved cousin Gloria Klancko. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, (August 18) at 11:00 am at Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford.
