Ronald J. Darmofalski, Sr., 59 of Newington, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at his home. He was the beloved fiancé and companion of Sandra Avery for 26 years. Born in Meriden, son of Mary (Wood) Darmofalski of Newington and the late Stanley Darmofalski, he was a longtime Newington resident. Ron was employed by Acco Brands for 26 years was looking forward to his future plans with Sandra after retirement. He was a mustang enthusiast and a computer whiz. He was also a proud

member of the NRA. Along with his partner Sandra and his mother Mary, he leaves his son, Ronald Darmofalski, Jr. and his wife Ashley of Southington, his stepchildren,

Cori Avery and her partner Jared Colon of Southington, and Mark Avery and his wife Becky of Durham, and his seven grandchildren, Rylan, Jace, Thea, Luciano, Aubriella, Travis and Callie. He also leaves his three brothers, Stanley Darmofalski and his wife Sue of MA, Thomas Darmofalski of FL, and Alan Darmofalski and his wife Jackie of South Windsor, his son's mother, Karin Guthrie and her husband Tony of NV, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Dale Darmofalski. Funeral services will be private with Duksa Family Funeral Homes at Newington Memorial, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington.
