David A. Lucas, Jr., beloved husband, father, and friend passed away at the age of 67

on August 14th surrounded by his family. Dave was a third generation member of Teamster Local 671 for 47 years. He held several different positions in the Local such as Steward, Business Agent, and Secretary Treasurer for the last 27 years. He also proudly served as the President of Teamsters Joint Council 10 for New England. Known for his larger than life personality, kindness, and generosity, he was a mentor and leader to many; a role he was born for. When he wasn't fighting for workers rights, he enjoyed spending time with family and his two grandsons. He was an avid boater and enjoyed golfing with his son and friends. Dave is survived by his wife Paula of Old Saybrook and his son David and wife Jenna and grandsons David and Joseph of Prospect. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org or Connecticut Hospice at www.hospice.com.
