Meyer. They moved to Hidden Lake in 1958 and made their home where they raised their family. They were able to share 55 years together before his passing in 2009.

Betty worked for more than 25 years at the former Cheesebrough-Ponds in Clinton in various positions, before taking early retirement in 1991. She loved watching her Hallmark channel shows and was very supportive of our active service members and veterans. Betty was a very strong person of faith and as a member of her church, taught Sunday School, was worship committee leader, help to established the food bank, Red Bird missions, holiday food baskets for families in need and her homemade goodies were a staple for the weekly coffee hour. In addition, her jams and jellies and hand-made items were always a highlight at the annual church fair. She was recently inducted into the Haddam-Killingworth Hall of Fame for all of her volunteer service. She did not like the spotlight and so often she privately would be “taking care” of things for her neighbors, friends and family. Grandma Betty had a gift of being encouraging, thoughtful and caring which is why she was adored and loved by all who knew her.
