Schmidt, Lois C.

Lois Audrey Craig Schmidt of Bloomfield CT, formerly of Brooklyn, Scarsdale NY and Farmington CT, died on August 17, 2021. She was the widow of Howard M. Schmidt and daughter of Gladys V. and J. William Craig of Brooklyn and Scarsdale NY.

Lois was a 46 year resident of Farmington before making Seabury Retirement Community in Bloomfield, CT her home in 2000. She enjoyed making many wonderful new friends and participating in the various activities that Seabury offered.

While living in the New York City area, Lois was employed by Time Inc. as an executive secretary. Years later, when her two children were grown, she resumed her secretarial work, mainly in the Farmington Valley.

She was a busy volunteer and generously donated her time and expertise to numerous worthy causes from the local community level to the national and international and enjoyed it all.

Lois is survived by her son Andrew C. Schmidt of Plainville CT; a daughter and son-in-law Laura E. Audibert and Donald M. Audibert, a grandson Bradley C. Audibert, and a granddaughter Rachel L. Audibert, all

of Fort Kent, Maine. We thank family member, Dr. Glenn Trezza of Boston, Massachusetts for the close friendly relationship he and Lois developed over the years.
