Rand, Edith

Edith (Hunderlach) Rand, of Middlefield, passed peacefully at the age of 96, on Monday (August 23, 2021) at Wadsworth Glen in Middletown. She was born on February 27, 1925, daughter of the late John F. and Margaret B. Hunderlach of Middletown. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert W. Rand Sr. and their son Robert W. Rand Jr. She is survived by a son, Stephen Rand and his wife Amy of Middlefield; a daughter, Susan (Rand) Zajac and her husband Paul of Higganum; her grandchildren, R. Wesley Rand III and his wife Mikki

of Cromwell, Seth Rand of New Hampshire, Michelle (Zajac) Strycharz and her husband Paul of Coventry, Dale Zajac and his wife Cheryl of New Hampshire, Ethan Rand and his wife Carolyn of Middlefield, Evan Rand of Seattle, WA; nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Many thanks to all of the staff at Wadsworth Glen for making Edith's last days comforting to her and her family. A celebration of life for Edith will be planned at a later date. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
