Tracking virus is like tracking Henri
For our neighbors who find the changing recommendations of the CDC to be reason to not trust health policies on COVID-19, I found what I believe is a perfect analogy. As we in New England were warned about the projected timetable and probable tracking information of Henri, the information was constantly changing, being updated with the most current information. Just as the information Sunday was different from what was available Thursday, the information about COVID-19 has become more detailed as time passes and more information is collected.
I doubt any reasonable person would fault the National Weather Service for refining its projections as Henri approached land, so why not offer that same patience for the CDC? For everyone’s benefit, I suggest that the prudent course of action is to follow the recommendations of the CDC.
