Tracking virus is like tracking Henri

For our neighbors who find the changing recommenda­tions of the CDC to be reason to not trust health policies on COVID-19, I found what I believe is a perfect analogy. As we in New England were warned about the projected timetable and probable tracking informatio­n of Henri, the informatio­n was constantly changing, being updated with the most current informatio­n. Just as the informatio­n Sunday was different from what was available Thursday, the informatio­n about COVID-19 has become more detailed as time passes and more informatio­n is collected.

I doubt any reasonable person would fault the National Weather Service for refining its projection­s as Henri approached land, so why not offer that same patience for the CDC? For everyone’s benefit, I suggest that the prudent course of action is to follow the recommenda­tions of the CDC.
