Baril, Cara Lynn

-

Cara Lynn Baril, 32, of Hartford and formerly of Hartland, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Hartford Hospital. Born in

Hartford on August 13, 1989, beloved daughter of Cheryl (Belin) Anderson and Peter D. Baril, she was raised in East Hartland and attended East Hartland Elementary School

and Gilbert High School in Winsted. Growing up in Hartland, surrounded by nature, Cara developed a passion for animals and wildlife at a young age. She loved taking hikes with her friends and was always willing to help anyone in need. Cara’s high energy and zest for life was evident in everything she did, and her smile lit up any room she entered. It

was fitting that the day after her whirlwind personality left this Earth, a hurricane followed at her heels. She was a passionate, exuberant soul who embraced life to its fullest, and she fought so hard against addiction. She leaves her parents, Cheryl Anderson and her husband David of West Hartland, and Peter D. Baril of East Hartland; a brother, Nikolas Baril and his wife Paige of Raymond, NH; a niece, Madilyn Baril; her maternal grandparents, Herbert Belin and his significant other, Lori Skiffington of Springfield, MA, and Carol Fisher of Chipley, FL; her paternal grandmother, Constance G. Baril of East Hartland; her maternal aunt, Michael-Ann Lynch and her husband Gordy Tillman of Humble, TX; two maternal cousins, Chelsea Smith of Austin, TX and Jaime Smimble and his wife Shannon of Georgia; four paternal uncles, Joseph Baril and his wife Kathleen of Granville, MA, Lawrence Baril of Granby, Marcel Baril and his wife Debbie of Winsted, and Douglas Baril of North Carolina; two paternal aunts, Deborah Ransom and her husband Peter and Laurie Ransom and her husband Thomas all of East Hartland; her fiancé, Alejandro Ramon of Hartford; and many cousins, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Gerald Edward Baril. Cara was

laid to rest in a private ceremony at West Hartland Cemetery, a tranquil and beautiful location frequently visited by foxes and other wildlife. If you would like to memorialize her in some way, please go out and do an utterly random act of kindness towards your fellow man or animal. She would love the world being made a better and more kind place in her memory. HayesHuling & Carmon Funeral Home in Granby has care of the arrangements.
