Joseph P. D'Addario, 87, of East Hartford and Columbia CT., passed away Sept. 4 2021 at home.

He was the beloved husband of Phyllis (Nauss) D'Addario for 68 years.

Joe & Phyllis began D'Addario's Auto Service in East Hartford on 1965. Always a family owned neighborho­od "garage", new generation­s of old customers keep Curt & his children busy today.

Always an avid fly fisherman, whether fresh water or deep sea, Joe was always at home on or in the water. He was a masterful fly tyer and his fly's were much sought after in fly tying circles.

He fished in many amazing places around the world including Iceland, Belize & Montana - but he always came

"home" to his favorite place in the world- the Pocono's. He was a 40+ year member and past President of the Henryville Flyfishers Club and the CT. Flyfishing Assoc. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Curtis(Tracey) of Columbia CT and Jody(Paul) Stille of Auschau Germany and sisters Lenora(John) Rice of Ellington and Barbara Robyor of VT.

He leaves 5 grandchild­ren and 3 great-grandchild­ren. A special Thank You to Myron & Shelley Schulman who were like family to Joe.

He was predecease­d by a sister, Rosemary Conlan. There will be a private service at a later date. Donations can be made online to HARTFORD HEALTHCARE AT HOME and select designatio­n HOSPICE
