Pedro Diaz-Diaz, 95, of Hartford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 8, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Digna (Concepcion) Diaz for 65 years. Born in Puerto Rico, son of the late Alejo and Dolores (Diaz) Diaz, he settled in Hartford over 60 years ago. There with his wife, he founded the Jehovah's Witness Church in Hartford where he was a devout member. Pedro honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during Korea and was a member of the Boriquenee­rs Forgotten War

Heroes. Pedro enjoyed cooking and was known for his Thanksgivi­ng meals. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Louis Diaz, and Daniel Diaz of Wallingfor­d, his grandchild­ren Joseph Diaz and Molly Diaz and his great granddaugh­ter, Laela Diaz. He was predecease­d by his son Pedro Diaz, Jr. Funeral services will be private with Duksa Family Funeral Homes at Newington Memorial, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington.
