Elaine McKinney, 90, of Daytona Beach, FL, beloved wife to the late George McKinney Jr, passed away peacefully in her sleep August 16, 2021. Born July 1, 1931 to the late Edna and

Harry Mezochow of West Hartford, Elaine attended Hall High and went on to pursue a nursing degree from Middlesex School of Nursing in 1952. She worked as a nurse at Hartford Hospital and Vassar Brothers Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY. Elaine was a member of the Red Hat Society, Ladies of the Elks, New Hackensack Fire Department Ladies Auxillary and the Naples Congregational Church. Some of her many hobbies included basket making, ceramics, quilting and cooking. Elaine especially loved spending time with her family and friends and being at her summer home in Otis, MA. Elaine is survived by her son, Gregg McKinney and wife Sandy of Glastonbury, CT, her daughter, Beth McKinney of Ponce Inlet, FL along with grandchildren Kaitlin Casey, Ryan Gallagher and Matthew McKinney. She is also survived by her sister Dorothy Nolte and brother-in-law Bill as well as four great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Elaine leaves behind a special friend, Richard Parker of AZ. Plans for a memorial service are forthcoming.
