Patricia Ann Peters passed away on September 15, 2021, following a battle with cancer. She was born to Nellie and Harold Munson in Meriden on May 21, 1936. She grew up on the family dairy farm in Kensington with her two brothers and sister and graduated from Berlin High School in 1955. Following high school, she attended the New Britain General Hospital School of Nursing, where she met many life-long friends. She graduated in 1958 as a Registered Nurse and began working at New Britain General. She continued her nursing career at Grove Hill Clinic, working for several doctors until she retired.

Patricia was married to Robert J Peters in September 1959. Pat and Bob settled on Percival Avenue in Kensington where they remained until this summer, when they moved to West Hartford. They welcomed two children, Beverly and Brian. Pat was involved in

many community organizations over the years. She supported her husband Bob throughout his career, particularly during his mayoral and state representative terms. She was a member of St Mark's Episcopal Church for many years and more recently St Gabriel's Episcopal Church where she found friendship and

fellowship.

Pat and Bob enjoyed travel and took many trips throughout the US and Europe. For several years after retirement they spent time in Myrtle Beach for the month of February. She particularly enjoyed several trips they took as a family with their children and grandchildren. Pat and Bob built a vacation home on Cape Cod where for many years they loved to host family and friends. The Cape house was a favorite for family Thanksgiving gatherings as well.

Pat loved to get together with her friends and family. She regularly hosted and attended small gatherings and for many years hosted a large holiday party. She was a wonderful cook and kept her husband and family wellfed and healthy for almost 62 years. She loved to bake and enjoyed sharing her delicious cookies, muffins, pies and scones with family and friends. For the past 25 years Pat loved being a Nana to her grandchildren Hannah and Ethan. She enjoyed visiting them in Maine to see them in a school concert or play and hearing

about all their adventures in college and beyond.

Pat was a life-long knitter, completing countless afghans, socks and hats. She donated many of her knitted items to her church, the Seaman's and other organizations. Pat learned quilting in the 1970's and lovingly spent many hours hand quilting her creations. Gardening was also a favorite pastime, from a large vegetable garden when her children were growing up, to lovely flower gardens in her yard. When inside she enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, the Red Sox, UConn Women's Basketball and the Connecticut Sun.

Pat is survived by her husband, Robert Peters of West Hartford, her daughter Beverly Peters of East Berlin and her son Brian Peters and his wife Christine Manderson of Topsham, Maine.
