Terese Ann (Hudak) Seidl, widow of John E. Seidl, passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021, with her daughter, Jane Gordon, by her side. Terese was the daughter of the late John Hudak and Mary (Jacobs) Hudak. She was predecease­d by her devoted husband of 57 years, John E. Seidl and her 10 siblings; five brothers (John, August, Aloise, Benedict and Albert Hudak) and five sisters (Mary Arburr, Agnes Wilks, Margaret Ryan, Anne Janecko and Johanna Moisa.) Born in New Britain, she attended local schools, moving to Newington 59 years ago and was a member of Holy Spirit Church. In 1967 she began working at Paul Welding as a bookkeeper, where she remained until she was 89 years old. She enjoyed playing bridge with her neighborho­od friends, Gertrude Gaudio, Roxie Maljanian, Marge Stamm and Tina Caesar and enjoyed a 55 plus year friendship with them. She loved traveling, her flower gardens, playing the piano, being at the

seashore in Westbrook, painting, reading and feeding the birds and cats who visited her yard. She was very proud of her Slovak heritage and was a member of the

First Catholic Slovak Ladies Associatio­n. She leaves her caring and devoted family; a son and daughter-in-law,

David D. Seidl and Debra, of Lebanon, two daughters; Judith E. Lawton and her husband, Michael, of Newington and Jane M. Gordon of New Britain. She also leaves her four grandchild­ren and one great-grandchild, whom she loved so much; Lauren Gordon and her husband, Josh Carrier, of Eastford and their son, Callum, Katie Gordon, David D. and Derek H. Seidl.

Terese's family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at the Mapleview Health and Rehabilita­tion Center and the Hospital of Central Connecticu­t, for all their patience and the special care they gave to Terese during her stays there.
