Sarah F. Tracy, 95, of Niantic, CT passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 16th. Sarah was born in Hartford, CT on Palm Sunday. This year, she celebrated her 95th birthday with her loving family, which was a special birthday as it too fell on Palm Sunday.

Sarah graduated from Mount St. Joseph Academy and the Cambridge School of Business. She worked at the Aetna and in the evenings during WWII she volunteere­d as a nurse's aid at St. Francis Hospital. Once married, she quit the Aetna and fully committed herself to her family. Following their move to Niantic, Sarah supported her husband's stair business as secretary. She was a devout Catholic and parishione­r of St. Agnes and St. Paul's Catholic Churches.

She was a caring and loving wife, mother, sister, grandmothe­r, and friend of so many. Her smile, laugh, quickwit, and generous heart will be missed. Sarah was preceded in death by her parents James and Katherine, her husband John (Jack), son James, an infant son, and Cousin Timothy.

She is survived by her sister Mary, her sons Sean and Ray, daughter Catherine and her husband Paul, grandchild­ren Mary and her husband Kirk, Chris and his wife Tara, and Megan, and 1 great-grandchild, Layla Gracie. Calling hours will be Tuesday, Sept. 21st from 4-6pm

at Molloy Funeral Home, 906 Farmington Ave., West Hartford. A Mass of Christian will be celebrated on Wednesday, Sept. 22nd at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 79 New Park Ave., Hartford.
