Barton, Margaret A.

Margaret A. Barton, 68, lifelong resident of Windsor passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021. She was born in Hartford on March 25, 1953, to the late Dwight and Doris Barton. Margaret worked as a highly respected Corporate Grocery Manager for Geissler's Supermarket for many years and was manager to many Windsor locals. She enjoyed fishing, reading especially books by her favorite author Stephen King, and traveling particularly to Florida to see her late brother Tom Barton. Margaret was loved by everyone. She was a force to be reckoned

with; always strong and stubborn but kind and loving.

Margaret fondly known as “Mother Margaret” will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She was predeceased by her life partner Harry Batz. She leaves behind to mourn her brother, James Barton and his wife Diane Barton, her brother William Barton, her nieces Michelle Barton, Jennifer Barton, and Amanda Barton. Her nephews James “jimmy” Barton, Bryan Barton and his wife Ana Barton, great-nieces and nephews, Sanaria Morris, Aryanna Morris, Tremain "TJ" Morris, and Ibella Gray. She also leaves her sister-in-law, Laurie Gravelle

and lifelong friends Heidi Hollick and Bob Cooper.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 27, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gabriel Church, 379 Broad Street, Windsor, CT. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
