Marci, Jr., Frank
Frank Marci, Jr., 88, of South Windsor, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2021 in Salmon Brook Rehab Center, Glastonbury. He was born in Hartford, son of the late Frank and Sebtiana (Sparti) Marci. He leaves behind his wife, Angela (Ficara) Marci of 70 years, son, Frank Marci III and his wife Roseann of Newington, his daughter, Connie Kostantakis
of South Windsor, his grandchildren, Frank J. Marci and his wife Jamie, Dominic Marci, Tina (Marci) Bouchard and her husband Paul, John Kostantakis and Michael Kostantakis, his great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Frankie, Dominic, Jillian, Angela, and Brooklynn also his many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Joseph Marci and Corrado Marci, his sister, Josephine Frasca and his son-in-law, Gus Kostantakis.
Frank was a graduate of Hartford Public High School and later enlisted in the US Army, serving during Korean Conflict. He was a proud member of the Operating Engineers Local 478. Frank was a man of simple pleasures, he loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He especially loved watching them play sports. He enjoyed eating home cooked meals that were made by his wife Angela and daughter-in-law Roseann also frequenting Gus and
Connie's pizza parlor. Frank also enjoyed coaching football at all levels, finishing his love of coaching with New Britain High School, under coaches Lenny Corto and Jack Cochran, winning multiple state championships. Friends may call on Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 9:30 to 11:00 am at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Road, Wethersfield. A memorial service celebrating Frank's life will take place at 11:00am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Connecticut State Veteran's Cemetery, Middletown.
