Popick, Janet (Maizon)

Janet Popick (Maizon) of Clearwater, FL, formerly South Windsor, CT, passed into Heaven peacefully on September 23rd, 2021 surrounded by loving family. Janet worked diligently for United Technologies for many years as a tool and die maker, shop steward, and machinist union representative. She leaves behind daughter Kerry McDermott, son Timothy Popick, daughter Kathleen Elia, and grandchildren Chelsie, Tyrah, Angelo, Anthony, Tanner, and Savannah, as well as lifelong best friend Margie Holland. She was a huge sports fan, especially UConn basketball, the Boston

Red Sox, Brooklyn Nets, Alabama Crimson Tide, and New York Giants. Services are private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the YWCA to empower women, stop domestic violence, and provide sexual assault crisis services.
