Marianne Frances Jackson Huelsmann, born January 29, 1948, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family in her home on September 27, 2021 at the age of 73, after losing her battle with ALS.

Marianne resided in Naples, FL. She lived most of her life in Wethersfie­ld, CT and shined as a K-12 and special needs teacher in Windsor, CT. Marianne had a great love of history, especially European history, and was an avid reader of nonfiction literature, with a special fondness of English history and political biographie­s. Marianne also loved boating, shelling, bike riding, and kayaking, and shared her passions with her husband, Richard, as well as family and friends.

After retiring from education, Marianne and her husband traveled the world by boat and by plane. Cape Cod, Ireland, England, Croatia, and Egypt were among some of Marianne's favorite destinatio­ns.

Marianne leaves behind her husband of 49 years, Richard Huelsmann, her beloved dog, Lucy, her son

Mark and his wife Ashley, and her little leprechaun grandson, Lannon, all of Naples, FL. She also leaves behind her sister, Ellen Jackson Schroeder and husband Tom of Naples, FL, her niece, Elizabeth Mastrogian­nis, husband Panos, and children Alexander and Marianna from Trumbull, CT, her nephew, Pete Korta, wife Rachel, and children Jackson and Colton of Cromwell, CT, as well as dear friends, Toni and Charlie Haley, of Naples, FL.
