Douglas M Howard, 72, died July 18, 2021 at home surrounded by his family, following complications from a stroke in February. He was pre-deceased by parents Paul W. & E. Lorraine Howard and brother Paul Jr. He is survived by his wife, Shelagh M Howard, three children: Mark Howard of NH, Cristen

Howard of SC, and Jeffrey Howard (wife Catherine) of FL, and two grandchildren, Bryan and Elizabeth Howard. He is also survived by his sister Laurie Veale and several nieces & nephews. He served in the West Hartford Fire Dept. for 20 years until 1994. He worked for UTC in Pratt & Whitney, Otis, and Carrier over 15 years retiring in 2012 then for Georgia Pacific until 2016. A memorial service will be held at Calvary Church, 1855 Albany Ave, West Hartford, CT at 12:30 PM on October 9, 2021. Additional information at tributes.com/ DouglasMHoward.
