Stephen Bojorquez, 63, of Columbia, CT passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 after a short, hard-fought battle with cancer. He was born on October 22, 1957 during the Fall, his favorite

season. Stephen was raised by his loving parents Carol Simms Bojorquez and the late Joseph Bojorquez in the heart of Old Lyme, CT. He graduated from the University of Connecticu­t in Storrs, where he met his beloved wife and best friend Robin Bojorquez, to whom he was married for 41 years. Stephen was a loyal worker who built a lifelong career as an Oil Burner Technician for M&M Oil in Bolton, CT. He was a family man who wanted nothing more than to see his wife and children live happy, fulfilling lives. He enjoyed annual camping trips to Cape Cod National Seashore, boat rides along the Connecticu­t River with good friends, long walks with his two dogs, Dakota and Maggie, New England seafood, live rock performanc­es, and Formula 1 racing. Despite never trying the sport himself, he had a deep fascinatio­n for rock climbing, admiring the

achievemen­ts of free solo climber Alex Honnold whose book, Alone on the Wall, he kept by his side until the very end. Aside from his wife and mother, Stephen is survived by his daughter Sarah Elizabeth Bojorquez of Ellington, CT, son John William Bojorquez of Berlin, CT, and sister Ellen Bojorquez of Watertown, MA. He is predecease­d by his brother David Bojorquez.

A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, October 16th, 11 a.m. at Saint Columba Church in Columbia, CT.
