Kitching, Roseann (Mancini)

Roseann (Mancini) Kitching, 84, of Avon, wife of the late Bryant Kitching, died Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital. She was born February 10, 1937 in Hartford, daughter of the late Pasquale and Mary (Pennella) Mancini and grew up in West Hartford, before moving to Collinsville where she and Bryant raised their family and lived for over 50 years. Roseann was an Office Manager for the Farmington Valley Health District for over 20 years prior to her retirement. She was a devoted, active member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Collinsville and Prince Thomas of Savoy Women's Auxiliary. She loved her work on pastoral care and welcoming at Trinity and playing cards or sharing recipes at the Italian Club. Roseann also loved to cook for her family and friends. There was never a day without an extra head or two at the dinner table. Everyone who knew her has cherished memories of meals she lovingly prepared. But

her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Kitching and his wife Hedi of Farmington; her three daughters, Janice Glasgow of Avon, Linda Spescia and her husband Michael of Collinsville and Elaine Gaglioti and her fiancé Scott Kanaitis of West Hartford; nine grandchildren, Bryant

(Ari), Emily and Jack Kitching, Meghan, Katy-Rose (Paul) Katz and Michael (Kevin) Glasgow and Olivia, Nicholas and Clara Gaglioti; her great grandchildren, Lincoln and Lillian Katz, and Ruth Glasgow; a sister, Patty Negro and her husband Rick of Plainville and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Kathy Dymersky (Frank). Roseann also leaves behind a number of loving friends. Her incredible capacity for kindness and her caring spirit touched so many. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021, 1:00pm, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 55 River Road in Collinsville. And, the family will receive anyone who would like to offer their condolences and celebrate Roseann's life at Prince Thomas of Savoy, 32 Old Farms Road in Avon, between 3-6 pm on Friday, October 22, 2021.
