Death penalty vs. abortion a justifiable debate

-

Letter writers Frank Blume, Subby J. Cultrera and Carole Bernard are woefully uninformed [Letters, Page 8, Sept. 25]. They obviously are unfamiliar with the fact that there are thousands of innocent people in jail for crimes they didn’t commit. Texas has one of the highest rates of innocent people in jail, many of whom have been wrongly put to death. How do we justify that? These people were part of families, with friends, jobs, lives, but nobody cared enough to defend them the way the unborn are defended. Those of us who support choice have every reason to discuss the death penalty vs. abortion. I also wonder how many of the pro-life constituency have adopted children.
