Alan Graham Dalrymple 77, died peacefully at home on Thursday, September 30, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. Alan was born in Glasgow Scotland on April 24th, 1944 when at 5 years old, immigrated to America with his parents Robert and Ann. Alan attended public school in Windsor Connecticu­t where he made All-State in Soccer. He was a graduate of Hobart College in New York and was drafted into The United States Army, where he served proudly in Okinawa, Japan. He started his profession­al life at The Travelers in Hartford and finished it with an over 25 year career at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Alan had an amazing talent for pen and ink drawing and shared that gift with his family. He also had an uncanny talent as an aficionado of music, having mastered the piano and guitar with musical taste that ran the gamut. Alan could join any conversati­on and contribute countless facts and anecdotes, while being able to maintain

(and win) a debate with anyone. Alan is survived by his former wife Susan Dalrymple (Warner) of East Hartford , his sons Ian Dalrymple and his wife Jennifer of East Hartford, Graham Dalrymple and his wife Niki of Manchester, as well as his adored grandchild­ren Jarod, Carter, Liam, Keira and Aidan. There will be a private

service for family.
