Betty Ruth Barber, who lived a full and loving life, passed at the ripe young age of 90 on October 11, 2021, surrounded by her family. Betty will be remembered as kind, caring, sweet, a great Mom and Grandma, a loving wife, a wonderful friend, a hard worker, an awesome cook, and a devoted Christian who added everyone to her prayers. Although her memory was failing, and her body followed suit, she would greet everyone with a smile. Betty passed away peacefully at The Atrium in Rocky Hill where she called home for the last year. Betty's family is very grateful for staff and management at The Atrium, Interim Healthcare, and VITAS

Healthcare. Under their care, Betty was treated with kindness, empathy, respect, and love. Betty is survived by her daughter Brenda Wichrowski and her husband Tim, son Bryan Barber and his wife Laura, granddaughter Mackenzie Hurlbert and her fiancé Paul Benjunas, and granddaughter Sarah Grundfast and her husband Eric. Betty is pre-deceased by her husband of 68 years, Harry Barber. Harry and Betty were fortunate to retire in their 50's and enjoyed traveling across the country in their motorhome visiting friends and making new ones. In lieu of flowers, Betty would love you to spread your smile and your kindness to others. In her honor, please do a small kindness for someone. Honor a caregiver in your life, smile at a stranger, hold the door, pay for the order of the next car in the drive through line,

buy some flowers and drop them off at a local elderly community. Help a charity close to your heart, with her in your heart. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
