Robert “Bob” Engwall, 68, passed away on September 24, 2021 in Hartsville, SC. Bob was the son of the late Theodore “Ted” Engwall and Lenore ( Carlin) Engwall. A native of New Britain, Bob graduated from Pulaski High

School and Central Connecticut State University. After working several years for the state of Connecticut, he enrolled in an immersive course in computer software. Bob was hired by Policy Management Systems Corporation based in Columbia, SC in 1981, where he became part of the original team that created and led

PMSC's expansion into international territory, focused on northern and southern Europe. He later continued his career in IT development with other companies and as a private consultant.

He is survived by his sister, Debbie Kowalewski of New Britain, daughter Ansley Engwall of Columbia, SC, his fiancée Kyle Anne Barnett of Hartsville, SC, Uncle Roy & Aunt Pat Engwall, nephews David and Steven

Kowalewski, niece Christine Freire and husband James, many cousins and lifelong friends. Bob was a loving father, devoted partner, beloved brother and uncle, and loyal friend who was known for his helpful, outgoing personality. Bob especially enjoyed beach and golf vacations with family and best friends. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

A funeral service officiated by Father Dan Papineau of St Mary the Virgin Roman Catholic Church was held October 1 in Hartsville, SC.
