Drawhorn, Annie Nell

Annie Nell Drawhorn, 84, (affectionally called Miss Ann) of Hartford, CT passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 20, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Annie was born in Bullock County, Alabama on June 11, 1938, to the late Matthew and Cornelia Lampley. Annie migrated to Hartford, CT in the late 1950's and worked in the healthcare field for many years.

Annie was an active member of the Hartford, South Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She enjoyed cooking, baking, preaching in the ministry, reading spiritual publications, and traveling back home to Union Spring Springs, AL. Annie also enjoyed sending her grandchildren to the corner store to purchase pork rinds and the daily newspaper and being amongst family and friends.

Annie is survived by three of her beloved children, Will (Geneva) Drawhorn, of Manchester, CT, Lovie (Samuel) Kelsey of Windsor, CT, and Paul Drawhorn; eight grandchildren, Daryl, Tanisha and Brittany Drawhorn, of Manchester, CT, Allan DeGourville, of Windsor, CT, April (Treamell) Lawrence, of Middletown, CT, Brandon Drawhorn, of Boston, MA, Alayssia Pringle, of Windsor, CT, and Jahmari Bartley of Boston, MA; 11 greatgrandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Annie was predeceased by her husband, Will Drawhorn, and her children, Neil Drawhorn, Julia Ann Davis and Felicia (Lisa) Drawhorn-Pringle, and her beloved sister Darnell Williams.
