Pagliaruli, Althea (Minson)

Althea Minson Pagliaruli, 79, of New Britain, wife of Frank J. Pagliaruli, passed away peacefully, Friday, October 21, 2022 after a long illness. Born in New London, daughter of the late Elmer and Helen (Davis) Minson, she is a graduate of New London High School. Althea lived in New Britain most of her life and was a lunch aide at Smalley and Gaffney Elementary Schools. She also worked at the Bradlee's Department Store on Slater Road in New Britain, retiring in 2005 before moving onto Macy's. Besides her husband Frank, she leaves a daughter, Maria DeConti and her husband Paul of Newington, a son, Joseph Pagliaruli, Sr. and his fiancée Lynn Ferrelli of Kensington; 4 grandchildren, Kristina DeConti and Markella DeConti of Newington, Joseph Pagliaruli, Jr. of Kensington and Cassandra Pagliaruli of Chicago, and several nieces and nephews. Althea was predeceased by a twin sister, Alma Nott and a daughter-in-law, Laura Liburdi Pagliaruli.

Althea, talented in many ways, loved painting, cooking and crafting. She had a lifelong love of the ocean, continually sharing this passion with her family. A member of the New England Lighthouse Association, Althea and her friends visited every lighthouse from Connecticut to Maine.

Althea's family would like to extend thanks to Ledgecrest Health Care Center and Kathy, the recreation director, for their care and compassion.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 26 at 10 AM at Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin Square, New Britain. Entombment will follow in the St. Mary Chapel Mausoleum. Calling hours are Tuesday, October 25 from 4 to 7 PM at Carlson Funeral Home.
