It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmothe­r, and great grandmothe­r, Gertrud Anna Marquardt, who left this earth on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at the age of 89, to join her late husband, John F. Marquardt, Sr.

Trudy was an extremely hard worker and always went above and beyond to provide for her family. She was generous with her money, time, and talents and would do anything for her family, who she loved more than anything. Trudy had a heart of gold and everything came from a place of love. She was the true Matriarch of her family and a pillar of strength for them as well. Trudy will truly be missed by all who knew her, and she leaves a legacy of beautiful memories that will live in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her. Trudy leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Dianna Greiner and her husband Wayne, Belinda Marquardt and her significan­t other Larry Sargent, John Marquardt, Jr. and his wife Carrie, Richard Marquardt and his wife Michelle, and Kathy Mroczka and her husband Jim of Middletown; her grandchild­ren, who affectiona­tely called her Oma, Daniel Greiner and his wife Jennifer, Jeremy Greiner and his wife Samantha, Justin Johnson and his wife Heather, Jasmine Galante and her husband Joe, Corey Johnson, Alexa Charamut and her husband Ryan, Haley Marquardt, Johnny Marquardt, Marisa Ryan and her husband Dillon, Samantha Marquardt, Sydney Marquardt, Jake Marquardt, Nicholas Mroczka and his fiancee Brandyn Salvatore, and Benjamin Mroczka; her great grandchild­ren, Julia, Isabella, Zoey, Brady, Morgan, Avery, Harper, Lacey, Emberley, Tulla, Malcolm, and Charlotte; step-great grandchild­ren, Aubree, Joey, Mercedes, Destiny, and Tyler; her brother, niece, and nephew in Germany; and many other other relatives and amazing friends, who also knew her as "Oma." In addition to her husband, John, and parents, Karl and Bertha Picha, she was predecease­d by her great grandson, Jayson Johnson; her companion for over 25 years, Paul Gresh; her sisters, Gerda and Charlotte Picha; and her brother, Helmut Picha.

Her service was shared with her loving family and many good friends.
