Louise Valley died on October 23, 2022 after a short stay at The Hospice House of Shiawassee County, MI. She was born in Bridgton, ME on Oct. 9, 1945, to Bertha L. Sanborn and George W. Richardson. After relocating to CT and raising a family, Louise continued her education and became employed by Pratt & Whitney, retiring in 2012. After retirement, Louise relocated to Michigan to enjoy life with her children and grandchild­ren. Family was her first priority and being able to see her children on a regular basis meant the world to her. Louise was a skilled and passionate crafter and scrapbooke­r, always making unique and handmade cards for those she loved for every birthday and holiday. To go along with her talent for making handmade cards, she also made beautiful custom jewelry for many years. Louise's other hobbies included doing puzzles, birdwatchi­ng, spending time outdoors and eating ice cream. Her contagious smile and laugh would light up a room, as people always enjoyed her sense of humor. She always went above and beyond for the people who were given the privilege of calling her a family member or friend.

Louise is predecease­d by her parents. She is survived by her sister Gloria Adams of Casco, ME, her brother Brian Richardson and wife Linda of East Hartford, CT. Her son Martin Valley and wife Melinda of Burton, MI, her daughter Debra Gray and husband Scott of Montrose, MI. 4 grandchild­ren, grandsons Mason Valley, Mitchell Valley, Wade Gray and her favorite - granddaugh­ter, Emma Gray.

A celebratio­n of life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to Hospice House of Shiawassee County or the American Diabetes Associatio­n.
