Maceyka, Brother Paul

Brother Paul Maceyka, 94, a Missionary of Our Lady of La Salette Oblate, died Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at the La Salette Hartford House in Hartford, CT. He was born November 12, 1927 in Stamford, Connecticut, son of the late Vincent M. and Florence E (Hall) Maceyka. He joined the Missionaries of Our Lady of La Salette in 1956 as an Oblate Brother and, over the years, exhibited a steadfast love for the Blessed Sacrament and Our Lady of La Salette.

Brother Paul was dedicated in his services to the Community in assisting in the maintenance of their properties, both in Bloomfield and in Hartford. He is remembered by his confreres as being very quiet, prayerful and faithful to his religious obligations. In his quiet way, he reciprocated all kindnesses to him.

In addition to his La Salette confreres, Brother Paul is survived by a brother, David Maceyka of Denver, Colorado and a sister, Mrs. Marie Curtis of Newington, CT. He was predeceased by two sisters, Sister Theresa Maceyka, CSJ, Lydia Maceyka and a brother, Edward Maceyka.

His funeral will be concelebrated on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at 10:30 am the La Salette Chapel, Hartford, CT. Burial will be at Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield, CT. Calling hours will precede the funeral at the Hartford House Chapel, 85 New Park Avenue, Hartford at 9:30 am.
